Instructions for Presentations
Oral Presentations
Except for invited speakers, who will have a time slot of 30 minutes, all presentations will last no more than 20 minutes in total: A 15 minutes talk and 5 minutes for discussion. If the talk lasts more than 15 minutes the discussion will be shortened accordingly. The same principle applies if the presenter for some self-induced reason does not start the presentation as scheduled.
The following technical equipment will be available to the presenter:
- Overhead projector
- PC projector (resolution: 1024x768, 56K colors). A portable IBM compatible PC is expected to be provided by the presenter, and in case of unexpected technical problems with the PC and/or the LCD projector, it is the responsibility of the presenter to ensure that appropriate transparencies are available as back up.
- CD player, DAT player, Minidisc player.
Poster Presentations
Authors are invited to prepare posters 90cm (width) x 130cm (height). A valuable guide to prepare effective poster presentations is available as a IEEE Potentials Article . Posters should be mounted before the run-through and will stand in the poster area until lunch time of the following day. Authors are free to be in the vicinity of their posters for as long as they like.
