Starting from version 5.5 the word Suite was added to the product name. Now Web Image Guru Suite is a set of three image processing applications:
The Web Image Guru Plug-in is a powerful tool for optimization of image color and tonal balance, sharpness, noise level, geometry, bit depth, and file size. The word Web in its name means that optimized images always saved in one of the commonly used file formats: JPEG, GIF, or PNG, that become popular due to the Internet, but now used in a variety of other fields.
The Image Guider is a simple image browser that may be used for image organizing and for launching of Web Image Guru in normal or batch mode.
The Filter Studio is an Adobe Photoshop plug-in that make it possible to use all Web Image Guru filters without saving of the processed image to file. It is useful for image retouching and editing. It may be used in Adobe Photoshop actions or Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8 scripts as a part of complicated image processing algorithms.

Using of Web Image Guru Suite:
Web Image Guru and Filter Studio plug-ins may be used as Adobe Photoshop plug-in modules.
They are compatible with Adobe PhotoShop 3.05 - 7.0, CS and other products that support Adobe PhotoShop 3.05 type plug-ins. Filter type plug-ins are available.
Web Image Guru may also be used as a standalone application fro Windows Explorer or Image Guider.
To install Web Image Guru Suite on your computer just run WebImageGuru5.exe file and follow onscreen instructions. Plug-ins setup will be done automatically for Adobe Photoshop.
You may setup Web Image Guru for other
host applications manually.
Web Image Guru will install Adobe Photoshop plug-in file WebGuruFilter.8bf and FilterStudio.8bf
to Adobe Plug-ins subfolder (usually C:\Program Files\VIMAS\Web Image Guru
5\Adobe Plug-ins).
You should copy these files to Photoshop’s plugin folder (for
example C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop 7.0\Plug-Ins\Filters).
After
restarting Photoshop software will be available as menu item Filter -> Vimas -> Web Image Guru 5.
The same approach may be used for other
applications also.
You can run Web Image Guru plug-in from our simple image browser - Image Guider. Select Start > Programs > Vimas > Web Image Guru 5 > Image Guider menu item. In Image Guider select the image by clicking on it, and run Web Image Guru from File > Web Export menu item.
You can also run Web Image Guru plug-in as standalone application directly from Windows Explorer by right mouse clicking on the one of supported image formats (bmp, jpg, png, tif, gif, pcx, tga) and selecting Web Image Guru 5 menu item.
Filter Studio plug-in may be used from external graphics applications that supports Adobe Photoshop plug-ins only.
The trial period of fully functional Web Image Guru Suite is 14 days.
