While there a few months back, I passed by a large field with flyers - a welcome site (across from some Mental Hospital). Does anyone know the name and more specifics about this field (ie. how often folks fly there, clubs, avg. wind conditions, etc.) In addition, after hearing folks talk about all the rain you receive in Washington, I am slightly concerned about how often one gets out to fly. Please let me know how good (or bad) it is. Both days this weekend I had to stop flying due to rain. Fortunately that hasen't happened to me too many times this year. I've also been flying a lot in Port Townsend, which gets less than half the rainfall of Seattle. Unfortunately when the weather is nice, there's not a lot of wind, especially in the summer. I started flying last summer and was very frustrated. I got to fly quite a bit this winter and spring though. Usually we get a good wind on the coast, so I go out there quite a bit too. Hope this answers your questions.
