Subject: [*] HyperGames 1.4
Description (Version 1.4)
* A Unique Collection of Cool Games and Utilities, All-In-One!
* HyperGames is a HyperCard stack, jam-packed with more than 60
exciting games and useful utilities. Creative games include an
acclaimed Pong clone, a Pac-Man clone, animations, music makers,
mathematical puzzles, educational quizzes, etc. Original HyperTalk
utilities include a Find/Replace function, an Internet data
converter, an automatic index generator, a progress bar, synchronised
multiple scrolling fields, and much much more. It is also an ideal
vehicle to learn scripting, as well as to demonstrate the awesome
power of HyperCard!
* HyperGames has been "battle-tested" with real kids. In fact, many of
the games were conceived by kids, and most of the graphics were drawn
by kids (8, 6, and 4 year olds). HyperGames can be enjoyed in
HyperCard Player, but you can extend the games and utilities if you
take full advantage of HyperCard. HyperGames has colour, but most of
the games and utilities function well on a black & white monitor.
* The design philosophy of HyperGames is "simplicity and consistency",
or "Keep it Simple Stupid (K.I.S.S.)". The scripts contain 100% pure
HyperTalk with no X-things (XCMD, XFCN) except for "AddColor".
------------------------------------------------------------------------
* HyperGames is HyperCard stackware for the Apple Macintosh computer,
but it will be converted to cross-platform QuickTime Interactive (QTi)
format. It will be on-line playable directly from a web browser, and
downloadable to any personal computer that supports Apple's QuickTime
Interactive (QTi) technology.

Subject: [*] MATH DITTOS 2: Fact Controlled MULTIPLICATION for Special L
MATH DITTOS 2: Fact Controlled MULTIPLICATION for Special Learners v3.1
NEEDS: Acrobat Reader
=A91995-98 Steven L. Wood
MATH DITTOS 2: Fact Controlled MULTIPLICATION for Special Learners is a
unique tool for teaching multiplication computation. It is a sequential,
ground up, approach to multiplication with fact support, much like a
controlled vocabulary in reading. Each page includes fact bars which
present only the facts to be used on the page. Both special learners and
regular education students benefit from its thorough and systematic
approach. Unlike other workbooks, it is published as a computer
document--buy it once, use it forever.
Ninety-nine blackline masters comprise the basic package. Each page
contains a factstrip or factbar presenting and previewing the facts to be
used on the page. Worksheets follow a logical and thorough progression
through the operation of multiplication computation. A similar number of
complete answer sheets is included. Sub-answers are always included, so
teachers may do what they've been trained to do: diagnose and teach.
Presented in the Adobe Portable Document Format, the MATH DITTOS 2 series
now features fast and easy navigation throughout the documents.
New in the PDF 3.1 version
*"No Fact" pages still with restricted facts, but no fact bars. These are
an essential item for checking mastery after specific fact sections in
the regular masters are completed.
*Speed Drill Worksheets are included. Twenty-one pages of fact drill
pages include single and multiple-fact pages that parallel the fact
progression in MD2.
*Small flash card masters are included for duplication and student use.
These are just the right size to fit in a pocket and stand at least a
50-50 chance of actually making it home with your students.
*Large flash card masters. These are ideal for in-front-of-the-class
drill.
The above items were previously included only with the more expensive
ClarisWorks=81 version.
Other Features
*A thorough and logical task analysis of the steps in multiplication is
employed.
*Fact support on all pages of the basic blackline/color worksheets
*Grid overlays for keeping answers organized in 2 and 3-digit multiplier
problems.
*Platform Independent: Adobe Acrobat .pdf documents--uses free Acrobat
Reader that is available for many platforms (Mac, Win 3.1, Win 95, etc.).

Subject: [*] MultiCD - an audio CD player and sound recorder
MultiCD is a freeware program to let you play audio CDs and record sounds
from them using the CD ROM drives connected to your computer. This is
version 1.4 of the program and is the first general release
MultiCD Play Features
- supports multiple CD ROM drives: you can switch between drives while
the program is running and have several CDs playing at once.
- select the CD track to play by typing the track number or by drag and
drop
- supports playing tracks in shuffled order or saving a specific play
sequence
- displays either the name of the track being played or track number
- remembers the audio input used by each CD drive. This saves you having
to hunt around in control panels or control strips to hear the music
- MultiCD can also read the music in digital form directly from the CD
and play it though the computer speaker(s)
MultiCD Record Features
- output sound formats supported: snd resource, AIFF, QuickTime, wave or
AU
- supports 3 to 1, 6 to 1, IMA4, ITU mu and A law compression plus 8 and
16 bit uncompressed sounds
- supports a range of sample frequencies with an option to do anti-alias
filtering
- amplify or reduce the volume of the sound during recording
- options to record the music backwards or remove silent periods on the
start and end of the selection
- select the start and stop time to record from the CD to the nearest CD
frame - record music directly from the CD in digital form or via the
analog sound input on the computer.
Requires: System 7 or later, Sound Manager 3 or later, Apple CD-ROM
drive(s) and "Apple CD-ROM" extension.
Supports both PPC and 68K versions of MultiCD.
MultiCD is freeware in the sense that I don't expect payment for it but I
would like to hear from people using it to find out where it ends up.

Subject: [*] PowerSPrint V1.0 (Sharing Epsons on the Network)
PowerSPrint V1.0
=46reeware =A91998 AKUA interactive media AG
PowerSPrint is used to share an otherwise "unsharable" printer on the
network. It is written in AppleScript and can be modified by users as
necessary.
It has been tested with our only serial printer - the Epson Stylus Color
800. On PowerMacs and Quadras under System 8.1
How it Works
A client prints as if the printer were connected to one of its ports.
Instead of the "Print Monitor" application being launched, the
PowerSPrint Client application will be launched. It will transfer the
file to the server and remove it from the "PrintMonitor Documents"
folder. Once on the client machine, the file will be printed to the
printer.
THIS SOFTWARE DOES NOT REQUIRE THE MOUNTING OF REMOTE VOLUMES WHILE
RUNNING. It does, however, require "Program Linking" to be ON for the
server and at the mounting of one server volume to set it up.
When you print, the client will be launched. It will then transfer the
spool files to the server and subsequently delete them and quit.

Pretty Scroll - animates scrolling so you can follow the window & find
last point easily
Pretty Scroll is a control panel that animates scrolling. When scrolling
through a document, it is sometimes hard to find the last
point you viewed, especially if it was located near the end of the
document. Pretty Scroll makes it easier. Because the scrolling
process is animated, you can follow the movement and find the last
point easily.
What's new in 2.0b2?
- Changed scrolling algorithm so that only the visible part of the window
is animated.
- Fixed a bug that Pretty Scroll doesn't remember registration info.

of having to modify the source code and recompile it but I haven't yet
gotten around to it.

NEEDS: Acrobat Reader
This PDF file contains small flash card masters, each with a set of 18
facts. Each fact and its inverse are presented, with the exception of the
zero fact. The cards are purposely small so that they'll easily fit in a
pocket, thereby having an almost 50-50 chance of making it home. A
matched answer card is also included for printing the answers on the
back of the flash cards. The masters are set up for 8 1/2 x 11 printing
material. Lightweight cardboard such as bookcover stock is ideal.
This file is part of the MATH DITTOS 2 series, a unique, fact supported
approach to teaching computation. Each page in the series presents a
limited number of problems with plenty of workspace. The facts necessary
to complete each problem are always presented on the page in a fact
reference and practice section.

'V&N Lookup' is an easy-to-use program that puts dictionary-power at your

similar words in several languages at the same time. It can check the
spelling and translate passages of text word for word.
The application 'V&N Lookup' is part of my 'Foreign Language Toolkit'. To
try out the program you can download not-protected dictionaries and play
