NetChronometer 1.1.1 is Available!
Author's email address: jbkezer@kagi.com
You've probably noticed that the clock on your Macintosh drifts as time
goes by. NetChronometer will synchronize your Mac's date & time to a
highly accurate network time server.
You can use NetChronometer manually to synchronize your clock, or set it up
to perform periodic updates.
NetChronometer requires an Internet connection using either Open Transport
or "Classic" Mac TCP/IP. It is Appearance Manager-savvy.
Version 1.1.1 has the following changes:
- Add work-around to properly set time for 30-minute time zones.
- Enhanced timeout period if server connection fails.
- Fix periodic check bug that could prevent checks from occuring.
- Update time server listing.
Shareware; $7 registration fee suggested. It can be downloaded from
(http://www.kezer.net/shareware.html).

Subject: [*] Respond! - preemptive multitasking
Respond! is a control panel that brings a limited form of preemptive
multitasking to the Macintosh right now. And it runs on any Mac, 68k or
PowerPC, with System 7.0 or later. No more waiting for MacOS X or
Rhapsody. Even in Mac OS 8, if you hold down a menu in the Finder,
processes will not continue in the background. With Respond!, you can be
holding down a menu (particularly useful with Sticky Menus in Mac OS 8), or
clicking in a the zoom or close boxes (or the WindowShade collapse box in
Mac OS 8), or dragging a window or the thumb of a scroll bar, and processes
will continue in the background.
Respond! includes the option to use Live Window drag. When this option is
turned on, the full window, not just the outline, will be dragged, and both
foreground and background processing will continue, meaning the window
itself will be updated as its being dragged around! For example, you can
drag around an mp3 player window and watch as it continues playing and
updating the time counter while moving.
Version 1.0.1 is exactly the same as version 1.0, but it does not
incorrectly report your registration period being over when it is first
installed. If you are already using version 1.0, there is no reason for
you to download 1.0.1.
This version replaces 1.0 in the cfg folder of the infomac archives.
