BRA (in Swedish good, well) is a new name for the Braathens aviation group. A long time ago there used to be a Norwegian airline
called Braathens SAFE. SAFE stood for South American and Far East airlines. It used to be a heavy competitor of SAS in Norwegian
domestic traffic until then SAS managed to buy the company. Gradually the name Braathens vanished from the Norwegian market. But
instead of the Braathens SAFE a group of new airlines popped up using Norwegian funding but this time in Sweden. The group used a number
of names for its operations: Blekingeflyg, Braathens Regional, Flysmåland, Golden Air, Gotlandsflyg, Kalmarflyg, Kullaflyg, Malmö
Aviation, Sverigeflyg and Sundsvallsflyg. Now all these have been bundled under the new name BRA, which stands for Braathens Regional Airlines.
This machine SE-DSX is an Avro RJ-100 which was delivered to SAM Colombia in December 1994 and which then has flown since 2001 under the
brands of Malmö Aviation and Braathens Regional Airlines BRA.
