INTRODUCTION
------------
Welcome to our Contact! program............. As with all of our programs
this one will continue to be regularly enhanced following user feedback,
and all the upgrades will be free to registered users.
As it stands, this Shareware version is fully-working with no disabled
functions, but will allow only a limited number of Contacts (25).
Registration will give you unlimited contacts. Please note that
registration does not involve reloading the program, but simply typing
in a registration code to release the �lock�.
INSTALLATION
------------
Contact! is installed from a .sis file, which contains all the required
files for your language variant of the Psion 5.
To install Contact! from a PC/Mac you need PsiWin 2.1. Use the
Psion->Install New Program menu option, and choose Contact.sis from where
you unzipped it to. You will be asked for which language you want to
install, and which disk you want to install it to. PsiWin takes it from
there!
Alternatively you can copy the Contact.sis to your Psion and install it
from there. Note you will require the Psion SIS installation application
which came with PsiWin 2.1 to be installed on your Psion. Please note
that a large file (Contact.sis) is left in /System/Install/. You will
want to remove this file - I have no idea why it is left there. I am
looking into this!
You should install sysram1.sis and agnopx.sis in the same way.
DO NOT DELETE YOUR .ini FILE FROM PREVIOUS VERSIONS - YOU WILL NEED TO
RE-ENTER YOUR REGISTRATION CODE IF YOU DO!
FILE DETAILS
------------
The program consists of the following essential files, all installed
automatically from the .sis file:
Contact.app - The main program file
Contact.mbm - The icons used within the program
Contact.aif - The icons used in the System screen
Contact.rsc - Language resource file
module1.opo - Contact module
CTB.opo - Contact Toolbar module
SysRAM1.opx - An extension to OPL
Agnopx.opx - Another extension to OPL
Vwin.opo - Virtual Windows module (by R Panton, version 0.2a)
And the following optional files which can be loaded as required:
Contact.hlp - Optional Help File
RUNNING THE PROGRAM
-------------------
Start the program by selecting the �Extras� from the Application bar and
then �Contact�.
You can learn everything you need to about the program by playing with it
and checking the effect of each MENU selection, particularly the �View
preferences� options. There are no separate instructions, as we believe
all the information you need is in the on-line Help file.
All comments and, of course, registrations, gratefully received.
REGISTRATION
------------
If you wish to register the program, you can do so by post (snail-mail),
or on-line using the SWREG facility on CompuServe, or on the WWW by using
RegNet (credit cards).
If you are using the postal service, please send a cheque (check) (US, UK
Sterling or Eurocheques only) for �20 or US$30 or 60DM payable to �RMR
Software� (or the equivalent in �real money� in your actual currency) to

Please note these are addresses of our �agents�. If you use these
addresses, Registration codes will be sent out fairly quickly, but if you
send a technical query, it will have to be redirected to us, so might take
a few weeks to reply. If you have access, we can be reached quickly by
E-Mail at support@rmrsoft.com.
The quickest way to register, if you have access to CompuServe, is to use
GO SWREG and use Registration ID - 16867. The notification normally
reaches me in 24 hours and I can reply with the code quickly, again
normally within 24 hrs. (Ignore the question about the disc size when you
register, you do not need one and note that paying by this method will
involve an extra US$2 handling charge))
If you wish to register using a credit card you can register on the WWW
through RegNet, the Registration Network. RegNet can be reached by

This program has been allocated the REGNET Number: 1404 and this should be
quoted. Again, the notification tends to get to me within 24 hours and I
reply within another 24 hrs. (Note that paying by this method will
involve an extra US$5 handling charge)
In each case, we (or our agents) will then send you a personalised
registration code to enter (select the option either via the Menu or with
<Shift+Ctrl+Z>) to remove the �nag� screens and allow full use of the
program. Note that you will NOT need a new copy of the program, all the
functionality is already there but just needs �unlocking� by the
registration code. We will also ensure that this code remains forward
compatible for future versions of the program so, unlike other programs,
we will not be asking for a further fee for an upgrade on the Series 5.
FUTURE VERSIONS
---------------
The current Beta version 1.1 will be improved before the full release -
specifically to drastically improve the database responsiveness.
The following enhancements are expected in future versions (but not in
this order):
A GeoFox Version
Printing (First stage, a listing of contacts. Second stage, labels)
Option to delete agenda entries when deleting tasks.
Tapping a window will allow you to edit the text in the window.
Exporting contacts in text files (.csv and .html)
Finding entries when Ctrl-Tapping on a window.
Pasting of additional fields into the Agenda entry (e.g. phone numbers).
Alarms
Additional information about a contact (e.g. last completed task, next
task due)
Special contact selection entry (to aid grouping of contacts)
Category Field
Zoom views (Normal, as now. Medium showing Nome, Company, Phones,
Addresses in larger font. Large: Names and Phones.)
Customised field names
Customised fields
Mark owners entry in the database
Word templates
Dialling (waiting for OPX, still)
More task types (user definable)
IrDA support
User definable screen layout
Integration with Psion Internet software.
Integration with other software (e.g. PC)
